Friends of the South Holiday Library provide funding necessary for the South Holiday Library to implement a wide variety of programs for all ages including Storytime, Summer Reading and crafting. With your membership, you can be as active as you would like to be! Becoming a friend is your best way to show that the public library is important to you, your family and your community. This is a weekly lap sit program for babies and their caregivers. Join us for songs, stories, and playtime. This program is recommended for babies age 0-2.
Registration is not required, but spots are first come first serve.
Join our sewing volunteer, for a beginner friendly project geared towards teens and adults. You will learn about sewing tools, sewing on a machine, fabric selection and more.
This week you will be making a Star Wars 'Yoda Best' Simple Wallet. Each class will be a different project. All materials and equipment will be provided and this program is free. This class is for ages 13 years and older. *Registration is limited and required.
We are meeting at the newly renovated South Holiday Library.
We will be making painted glass bottles. Please bring a bottle to the library for the class with the label removed. This project is suitable for beginners.
All supplies are provided, or you may bring your own, if you prefer.

Looking to reconnect with nature and learn something about birds in the area? Stop by between 4 and 5 pm and spend some time watching birds with an ornithologist. We'll have binoculars and a spotting scope. You will have a chance to get a look at some of the regulars; including wading birds, songbirds and some reptiles in the pond. If you are lucky, you may catch a glimpse of our resident alligator, Gordon! Ask about our birdwatching kits available for check out. Waivers are required for each person attending this program.
