What exactly is a zine? A zine is a small-circulation of self-published collection of texts and images. How did J.W. Mitchell students brainstorm and start their own student publication? Drop by to find out! Sessions will be held at 11:45am and 12:30pm.
YouthBeats is a student organization at J.W. Mitchell High School whose goal is "to empower the youth of today through the realization that words have power: they inform, they entertain, they teach, they question, and sometimes they can be used to vent."

Joshua Pearson is a Tampa-based visual artist best known as the founding member of the creative studio Pep Rally Inc., where he leads a team of artists specializing in murals, visual identity, and immersive art installations for groups like the Tampa Bay Lightning and the popular downtown Sparkman's Wharf. Pearson assembled his book "Incidental Art" as a journal of his work, thoughts, and art process. Join us as he discusses art in the social media age, the journey through artist burnout, and finding support within the creative community.

Intermediate Pottery: Throwing with Marbled Clay
